Endurance, a discipline of reliability

Automotive endurance is arguably the most demanding mechanical discipline in the world. During 4, 6, 8, 12 or 24 hours, vehicles evolve continuously, day and night, in the rain, in the heat, in the middle of traffic and with permanent mechanical stresses. Each component is required at its maximum: on-board electronics, power supply, data acquisition, engine management, transmission, batteries, sensors and pilot interfaces must operate without any failure. In endurance, performance is of value only if it is durable.

This discipline is a wonderful laboratory for Innovation. The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), IMSA, European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and Asian Le Mans Series championships bring together the world’s largest manufacturers around Hypercar, LMP2, LMP3 and GT vehicles. The technologies developed there then irrigate the set of Automotive industry: hybridization, power electronics, energy management, telemetry, cybersecurity, driving assistance and real-time supervision.

For nearly thirty years, XAP Technology accompanies this permanent search for performance and reliability.
